Shakespeare Reading with Peter Gould: Twelfth Night

Here's your chance to get thee to the Funnery! We are excited to welcome Peter Gould to the library for an evening read through of Twelfth Night, the play that they will be doing at Get Thee To the Funnery this year. Please email jwsimpsonmemorial@gmail.com to register. All are welcome. The event is free, and you will leave with your very own script. Here's what Peter says:

"Each summer I take a great Shakespeare play, and cut it enough to make a two-hour (or so) performance for our troupe. Been doing that for twenty-five years! Our Twelfth Night script is ready for this summer. I'd love for you to come and enjoy an interactive preview. We did it last year with Hamlet, and we all had fun!

"We’ll meet at the Simpson Library on the night of July 11th, three weeks before camp begins. We'll have real scripts for you to use. We'll read a lot of it, discuss some of the finer points, make new discoveries, learn how to use our breath and focus, and how to apply our unique Funnery VECTOR TRAINING to our reading style. Anyone from 12 to 102 with an interest in Shakespeare is invited. We’ll all have a chance to read if we want to, and we’ll get to the end---I know, that's hard to do when there is so much awesome stuff to talk about!!”
